Brief history of McMahan Insurance & Employee Benefits, LLC McMahan Insurance & Employee Benefits, LLC actually had its beginning back in April of 1978. It was in that year that Freddie C. McMahan began his career in the insurance business as an agent for a nationally known insurance company. He held positions as an agent as well as in management. Born and raised in the Reeds community in Davidson County, a 1966 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a former teacher and coach and received his “Chartered Life Underwriters” (CLU) designation from the American College in 1990. McMahan Insurance & Employee Benefits, LLC is an independently owned insurance agency. Kathy Young, a key employee has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. Kathy is the hands-on Customer Service person for most product lines of the company. To say that she is a valuable asset to the company and its clients would be an understatement. Her knowledge as well as her genuine desire to help clients with their questions is invaluable. With Kathy, there is real meaning to the statement, “I am here to help you”.
